Russian Foreign Minister To Hold Talks With Dominican Counterpart In Moscow

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 26th November, 2018) Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is set to hold talks on Monday with his counterpart from the Dominican Republic, Miguel Vargas, who will be paying a three-day official visit to Moscow.

The minister's visit is expected to start on Monday and last through Wednesday.

�During their negotiations, Lavrov and Vargas will exchange views on a wide range of bilateral issues, focusing on developing political dialogue between the two countries and expanding economic and cultural ties.

The ministers will also address current international and regional problems and the prospects of bilateral cooperation at the international level, especially, in the framework of the United Nations, given the fact that the republic was elected a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the next two years.

The latest meeting between Lavrov and Vargas took place exactly two months ago, during the 73rd United Nations General Assembly on September 26.
