ABU DHABI (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 12th November, 2018) Russian oil company Lukoil CEO Vagit Alekperov told reporters Monday that he planned to meet with Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi in November to discuss the start of oil production at Block 10.
"Another exploration well is being drilled on Block 10. I hope to meet with the newly elected prime minister of Iraq in November and hold talks on early oil. After drilling an exploratory well, we would like to raise the question of starting early oil production to commission Block 10," Alekperov said on the sidelines of the ADIPEC forum.
"If Iraq agrees, then we need two and a half - three years to put it into operation," he said.
