Roscosmos Says No Flaws Found in Detectors of Soyuz-ST Rocket at Kouru Spaceport

Russian experts found no problems with the detectors of the Soyuz-ST rocket (Soyuz-2), currently located at the Kouru spaceport, a representative of Russia's space agency Roscosmos told Sputnik on Tuesday, adding that the launch would be conducted as planned, at 00:47 GMT on Wednesday

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 06th November, 2018) Russian experts found no problems with the detectors of the Soyuz-ST rocket (Soyuz-2), currently located at the Kouru spaceport, a representative of Russia's space agency Roscosmos told Sputnik on Tuesday, adding that the launch would be conducted as planned, at 00:47 GMT on Wednesday.

Roscosmos said last week that two Soyuz rockets at the Baikonur and Kourou spaceports would be dismantled and rechecked following the October 11 crash, which, according to the agency, happened due to a failure of sensors signaling stage separation.

"The rocket has been checked. No defects have been detected. The launch will be conducted on schedule," the representative said.
