Russian State Space Corporation Roscosmos will assess the commercial viability of Soyuz spacecraft launches on board Angara carrier rockets to the lunar orbit from the Vostochny cosmodrome, Roscosmos chief Dmitry Rogozin told Sputnik.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 06th November, 2018) Russian State Space Corporation Roscosmos will assess the commercial viability of Soyuz spacecraft launches on board Angara carrier rockets to the lunar orbit from the Vostochny cosmodrome, Roscosmos chief Dmitry Rogozin told Sputnik.

"It will be necessary to work it out technically, see how much it will cost, because there is a different radiation situation there," he said.

"If the Soyuz is put on the Angara, which from 2023 will begin to fly from Vostochny, then we have enough power to even fly on the Soyuz in lunar orbit," Rogozin said.
