MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 04th November, 2018) The man who opened fire in a yoga studio in the US city of Tallahassee on Saturday, killing two people and wounding five others, used to harass young women, local police said in a statement on Sunday.
The police received a report on shooting in Tallahasee's Hot Yoga studio at 5:37 p.m. local time (21:37 GMT) on Friday and immediately responded to it. Having carried out the attack, 40-year-old Scott Beierle turned the gun on himself and died on the scene.
"It was discovered that the assailant is a graduate of Florida State University but is currently a resident of Deltona, Florida and has prior military service. He has been the subject of prior calls for service in the Tallahassee area related to harassment of young women," the Tallahasee police department said in a statement, posted on Facebook.
Beierle also used to post sexist videos and songs on social networks, according to media reports.
Investigation into Beirle's motives is currently underway.
