MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 31st October, 2018) Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and his Bahraini counterpart, Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, said Wednesday that crises in Yemen and Syria can only be resolved through politician and diplomatic discourse.
"They underscored that there was no alternative to ending persisting conflicts and crises in the region other than by means of politics and diplomacy, in strict compliance with international laws and the UN Charter," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
The Bahraini undersecretary for international affairs is in Moscow to mark 200 years since the establishment of the Oriental Studies Institute at the Russian academy of Sciences.
On bilateral ties, the two diplomats confirmed their countries were interested in maintaining regular political contacts and building up cooperation in trade, economy, investment, energy, agriculture, culture and humanitarian affairs.
