Russia Signed Contracts Worth Over $260Mln With Cuba - Deputy Prime Minister

HAVANA (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 31st October, 2018) Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov said on Wednesday that the total value of contracts signed during his visit to Cuba exceeded $260 million.

"Upgrade of three power units is about $100 million, the second stage of the metallurgical plant revamping is about $60 million, supply of railroad cars is over $100 million. These are serious contracts," Borisov told journalists.

Borisov, who is in charge of defense and nuclear industries, electronics and machine building, paid a visit to Cuba on Monday and Tuesday to attend the 2018 Havana International Fair (FIHAV), where he opened the Russian exposition and also co-chaired a joint scientific and technical panel with his Cuban counterpart Ricardo Cabrisas.
