MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 29th October, 2018) Saud Al Mojeb, the Saudi public prosecutor, carrying out the probe into the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, has arrived in Istanbul, the Anadolu news agency reported on Monday.
His plane landed in Istanbul Ataturk Airport on Sunday, the Turkish media outlet said.
According to the publication, the Saudi attorney general is expected to meet with Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor Irfan Fidan later on Monday.
Khashoggi, a Washington Post columnist known for his criticism of Saudi policies, was last seen entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on October 2.
Following more than two weeks of denials, Saudi Arabia admitted on October 19 that the journalist had been killed in a brawl inside the consulate. According to Riyadh, 18 people have been arrested over their suspected involvement in the incident.
