Pittsburgh Shooter Acted Alone - Authorities

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 28th October, 2018) The man who opened fire at a Pittsburgh synagogue appears to have acted alone, US Attorney Scott Brady for the Western District of Pennsylvania said Sunday.

"We are treating it as a hate crime ... There is no indication that he is working with anyone else. And so we have charged it and are treating it as a hate crime but continue to investigate," he told reporters in a televised statement.

The Saturday attack is estimated to have lasted 20 minutes. Robert Bowers walked through the Tree of Life synagogue, shooting at people in three locations.

The gunman was detained as he exited the building after being injured in a shootout with police. He remains in fair condition with multiple gunshot wounds.

All 11 victims of the shooting have been identified, chief medical examiner Karl Williams said. They range from 54 to early 90s. Some were relatives.

Four police and Swat officers were wounded in the fire exchange with the gunman. One of them was discharged on Saturday and another one be released later on Sunday.
