"We want to talk about energy efficiency and sustainable development," the source said.
According to the source, the French side is not feeling that Russia has "a strong drive to do more regarding energy efficiency and work more against climate change."
At the same time, the ministry source said that "the understanding that we have to do something to fight the climate change is growing among the young people." The French ministry source stressed that there was emerging interest on the Russian side in adding these issues to the agenda of the council.
The next session of the council will be held in Paris, but the exact date has not been set yet. Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire will represent the French side; Economic Development Minister Maksim Oreshkin, the Russian side.
