Clashes between the Jund Ansar Allah Islamist group and the Fatah movement broke out at a Palestinian refugee camp in southern Lebanon on Monday, leaving nine people injured, local media reported.

According to Lebanon's National news Agency, clashes took place in the Mieh Mieh refugee camp in the Sidon district.

Palestinian factions reportedly launched talks in the city of Sidon in a bid to reach a ceasefire agreement.

Lebanon is home to some 450,000 registered refugees, according to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
