Russian National Martyshev's Defense Tries to Lower Sentence From 15 to 5 Years - Lawyer

The legal defense team of Russian national Yuriy Martyshev, accused in the United States of cybercrimes, will try to lower his sentence of up to 5 years in prison, Martyshev's lawyer Alexey Tarasov told Sputnik on Monday.

WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 15th October, 2018) The legal defense team of Russian national Yuriy Martyshev, accused in the United States of cybercrimes, will try to lower his sentence of up to 5 years in prison, Martyshev's lawyer Alexey Tarasov told Sputnik on Monday.

"We will argue for a lower sentence under the circumstances and that could be up to 5 years of incarceration," Tarasov said, adding that the maximum prison sentence could be up to 15 years.

The sentencing on Martyshev has been scheduled for April 19, 2019.
