BRUSSELS (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 15th October, 2018) The Committee of Permanent Representatives in the European Union (COREPER) will discuss at a meeting on Sunday the ongoing Brexit talks, an informed source in the bloc told Sputnik.
The meeting will take place in the evening in order to assess the situation with the Brexit negotiations, according to the source.
Earlier in the day, the Politico news website reported citing three unnamed EU diplomats that EU and UK negotiators have reached a deal on London's pullout from the European Union followed by a transition period. They noted that the withdrawal agreement was still at the negotiator level, when a European Commission official said talks were "ongoing."
The deal will be discussed in Brussels on Sunday evening and then by EU leaders on Wednesday at the European Council summit.
