WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 12th October, 2018) Former White House Deputy National Security Adviser Dina Powell is more inclined to stay at Goldman Sachs as a company executive instead of becoming a US ambassador to the United Nations, media reported.
Powell, who was reportedly among candidates to replace Nikki Haley, shared her preferences with her friends, CNBC reported on Thursday citing multiple people familiar with the matter.
Neither Goldman Sachs nor the White House has commented on the matter, the report added.
On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump announced Haley had submitted her resignation and planned to leave the administration at the end of the year. The president later said he was considering other candidates for this position as well and added his daughter Ivanka would be a great choice.
