Claims Russia Hiring N.Korean Workers Despite Sanctions Wrong - Moscow

Claims that Moscow hires workers from North Korea despite UN Security Council sanctions are wrong: they work in Russia under contracts signed before the adoption of the relevant resolution, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Wednesday.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 10th October, 2018) Claims that Moscow hires workers from North Korea despite UN Security Council sanctions are wrong: they work in Russia under contracts signed before the adoption of the relevant resolution, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Wednesday.

"I would like to rely on expert information here because we requested it. Such accusations are deprived of any reason. All workers from the DPRK without exception are on the territory of the Russian Federation under labor contracts that were issued before September 11, 2017, as stipulated by paragraph 17 of UN Security Council Resolution 2375, and may work until December 22, 2019 in accordance with paragraph 8 of UN Security Council Resolution 2397," Zakharova said.
