WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 10th October, 2018) The Federal Bureau of Investigation considers homegrown violent extremists (HVEs) to be the biggest terror threat facing the United States, FBI Director Chris Wray told a Senate hearing on Wednesday.
"The FBI assesses HVEs are the greatest terrorism threat to the homeland," Wray said in testimony delivered to the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs. "These individuals are global jihad-inspired individuals who are in the US, have been radicalized primarily in the US, and are not receiving individualized direction from [foreign terrorist organizations]."
