MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 10th October, 2018) Some breaches of truce regime have been registered in the northern Syrian city of Aleppo as well as in the province of Latakia over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry's Centre for Reconciliation in Syria said late on Tuesday.
"Despite the ceasefire regime being established throughout the country, there are still cases of ceasefire regime violation by illegal armed formations in the Idlib de-escalation zone ... Over the past day, terrorists attacked Qellaz,Beyr-Smayra, Ikko, Latakia province, the Maqanis al-Duwayri district of Aleppo," the center's bulletin read.
At the same time, three humanitarian operations have been carried out by Russia in Syria over the past day, with residents of Aleppo receiving a metric ton of fresh-baked bread.
The Russian center added that "people received 450 food sets with a total weight of 1.95 tons in Marrat, Deir ez-Zor province. Administration of educational facilities in Jisrein, Eastern Ghouta, Damascus province received 600 school backpacks and 600 sets of school's clothes."
Syria has been in a state of civil war since 2011, with the government forces fighting against numerous opposition groups and militant and terrorist organizations. Russia, along with Turkey and Iran, is a guarantor of the ceasefire regime in Syria. Moscow has also been providing humanitarian aid to residents of the crisis-torn country.
