Italy-Russia Intergovernmental Commission to Hold Meeting in December - Foreign Minister

The next meeting of the Italian-Russian Intergovernmental Commission will be held in December, Italian Foreign Minister Enzo Moavero Milanesi said on Monday at a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 08th October, 2018) The next meeting of the Italian-Russian Intergovernmental Commission will be held in December, Italian Foreign Minister Enzo Moavero Milanesi said on Monday at a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

"Today, before our meeting, I had time to meet with Mr. [Russian Industry and Trade Minister Denis] Manturov. At a meeting this morning we agreed on the date when we will meet with Manturov in December," the Italian foreign minister said.

He pointed out that the fact that Rome and Moscow had agreed on the date of the intergovernmental commission's meeting was a sign of a "very concrete approach" of the countries' governments on "how to deal with the issues of the [bilateral] relations."

The previous meeting of the Russian-Italian intergovernmental commission was held in early September. During the meeting, Manturov said that the trade Russia and Italy had amounted to $12.5 billion in the first six months of 2018, which was an 11 percent increase comparing to the same period last year.
