Ukrainian servicemen will participate in NATO's 2018 Trident Juncture military exercises, the country's Defense Ministry said Saturday.
KIEV (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 06th October, 2018) Ukrainian servicemen will participate in NATO's 2018 Trident Juncture military exercises, the country's Defense Ministry said Saturday.
"During the week, a group of Ukrainian officers was at the headquarters of the Allied Joint Force Command Naples, where the command and staff training was held in preparation for NATO's Trident Juncture-2018 strategic military exercises," the statement of the press service reads.
The ministry added that since September, five Ukrainian officers had been engaged into work in some units of the headquarters.
"They have successfully passed the stages of theoretical training, and will soon go to Naples, Ramstein, and Stavanger in order to perform tasks in their respective areas," the statement adds.
Trident Juncture 18 drills will be held in Norway between October 25 and November 7, with some 40,000 troops from 31 countries participating in the event.
