Deputy Chief of the Russian General Staff Lt. Gen. Evgeny Burdinsky paid a working visit to Madagascar, during which he met with Prime Minister Christian Ntsay, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Friday.
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 05th October, 2018) Deputy Chief of the Russian General Staff Lt. Gen. Evgeny Burdinsky paid a working visit to Madagascar, during which he met with Prime Minister Christian Ntsay, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Friday.
"The deputy chief of the Russian General Staff was received by the republic's Prime Minister Christian Ntsay. During the meeting the sides discussed regional security issues and the development of cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries," the statement read.
According to the ministry, Burdinsky and Ntsay signed a military cooperation agreement.
Burdinsky also visited Madagascar's military units.
