Russian Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko told South Korean President Moon Jae-in that Russian President Vladimir Putin had accepted an invitation to visit Seoul, the South Korean presidential administration said on Friday.
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 05th October, 2018) Russian Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko told South Korean President Moon Jae-in that Russian President Vladimir Putin had accepted an invitation to visit Seoul, the South Korean presidential administration said on Friday.
"Speaker Matviyenko ... conveyed the greeting of President Putin and his agreement to accept an invitation to visit South Korea. She expressed her wish that consultations on Putin's visit between the two parties should be held as soon as possible through diplomatic channels," Cheong Wa Dae said on Facebook.
South Korean President Moon Jae-in visited Russia in the summer.
Matviyenko arrived to South Korea on Thursday for a visit, during which she had meetings with the leadership of the country.
