DAMASCUS (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 30th September, 2018) Militants have shelled a residential area in central Aleppo near Mogambo street, however no casualties have been reported so far, a spokesperson for local militia told Sputnik.
"Terrorists opened mortar fire and shells exploded in the area of Mogambo street. The shelling was conducted from Rashidin neighborhood. No casualties have been reported so far and the shelling has caused only material damage," the spokesperson said.
Earlier in September, one child was killed and over 10 people were wounded as a result of mortar shelling of Aleppo by militants.
Syria has been in a state of civil war since 2011, with the government forces fighting against numerous opposition groups and terrorist organizations.
