UNITED NATIONS (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 29th September, 2018) Russia can guarantee that the humanitarian catastrophe will never occur in Idlib, which remains the last insurgency stronghold in Syria, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Friday.
"We will be acting very carefully in order to minimize any possible risks for civilian population. And I can guarantee you that we will not allow the situation which occurred in Raqqa, for example, or Iraqi Mosul, which were liberated by the anti-terrorist coalition led by the United States, to happen [in Idlib]," Lavrov said at a press conference on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.� �
