OGRA denies reports regarding increase in fuel prices

Says the final summary regarding a change in prices will be sent to the Petroleum Ministry by September 30.

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 24th September, 2018) The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has denied reports regarding increase in petroleum prices.

OGRA spokesperson Imran Ghaznavi while denying the reports said that they are baseless.

He said that Ogra’s working paper for October will be prepared next week while the final summary regarding a change in prices will be sent to the Petroleum Ministry by September 30.

There were reports that the prices of petroleum products are expected to be increased from October 1.

According to media reports, sources in Petroleum Ministry had said that the petroleum prices are expected to hike by Rs 10 per litre from next month.

The petrol prices are expected to increase by Rs 6.30 per litre while Kerosene oil prices can be increased by Rs 10 per litre, Light Diesel by Rs 4 per litre and High Speed Diesel by Rs 8.50 per litre, the reports added.
