Trump Nominates Ambassador To Armenia - White House

WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 21st September, 2018) US President Donald Trump intends to nominate longtime diplomat Lynne Trace to be the new ambassador to Armenia, the White House said in a statement on Friday.

"President Trump today announced his intent to nominate... Lynne Tracy of Ohio, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Republic of Armenia," the statement said.

Tracy is a career member of the Senior Foreign Service. with the rank of minister-counselor. She currently serves as senior adviser for Russia affairs at the US Department of State, the White House added.

In the past, Trace has worked as deputy chief of mission at the US Embassy in Russia and deputy assistant secretary for Central Asia at the State Department. Tracy, who speaks Russian, also served at the US diplomatic missions in Turkmenistan, Pakistan and Kazakhstan.
