Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Monday that he and Russian President Vladimir Putin would make statements after their meeting, giving hope to the region.
SOCHI (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 17th September, 2018) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Monday that he and Russian President Vladimir Putin would make statements after their meeting, giving hope to the region.
"I think not only the region, but the whole world is looking at our meeting today. The statements that we will make here after this meeting are giving hope for the region," Erdogan said at a meeting with Putin.
Syria, and the situation in Idlib, are expected to be the main topics at the meeting of the two leaders that is being held in Russia's resort city of Sochi.
The meeting is taking place slightly more than a week after a summit of Russia, Turkey and Iran in Tehran.
