Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko enacted the decision of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council to terminate the Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Partnership between Ukraine and Russia, Poroshenko's press service said Monday.
KIEV (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 17th September, 2018) Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko enacted the decision of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council to terminate the Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Partnership between Ukraine and Russia, Poroshenko's press service said Monday.
"President Petro Poroshenko signed the decree 'On the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine of September 6, 2018' on the Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Partnership between Ukraine and the Russian Federation," it said.
"According to the decision of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council, the proposals of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry regarding the termination by Ukraine of the Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Partnership between Ukraine and the Russian Federation, signed on May 31, 1997, were supported," it said.
