Russia is ready to seek a way out of the artificial deadlock in relations with the United States on the basis of the principle of equality and balance of interests, Energy Minister Alexander Novak said Thursday.
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 13th September, 2018) Russia is ready to seek a way out of the artificial deadlock in relations with the United States on the basis of the principle of equality and balance of interests, Energy Minister Alexander Novak said Thursday.
"In general, the Russian side remains open to seeking ways to take bilateral ties out of an artificial deadlock on the basis of the principles of equality and balance of interests," Novak said at a meeting with US Energy Secretary Rick Perry.
He said restoration of the Russia-US energy working group is a priority on the bilateral agenda.
Novak said energy should not be a tool of pressure, adding that Russia and the United States have similar views on it.
