MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 11th September, 2018) Theories around a Russian diplomat, who allegedly helped to identify people whom London suspects of being involved in the poisoning of Russian ex-spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia in Salisbury, are yet another fiction invented due to the lack of facts, Russian lower house member Andrey Lugovoy told Sputnik.

On Tuesday, the Daily Express reported citing intelligence sources that Russian nationals Andrey Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov, who allegedly poisoned Skripals, were identified thanks to a Russian diplomat in Rome recruited by an MI6 agent.

"As a person who has been in the same situation, very similar to the situation around Skripals, I can say that conspiracy theories, fantasies and fairy tales around the Skripal case have reached a critical point. The UK side is to blame for all this, it resorts to some hardly comprehensible allegations instead of providing evidence and thereby paves the way for media, journalists who begin to invent stories without sufficient information ... This is fiction, conspiracy stories, fairy tales," Lugovoy said, commenting on media reports.
