Russian President Vladimir Putin has not yet accepted the invitation to visit Paris in November, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said on Tuesday, commenting on the possibility of a meeting between the Russian leader and his US counterpart Donald Trump in France.
VLADIVOSTOK (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 11th September, 2018) Russian President Vladimir Putin has not yet accepted the invitation to visit Paris in November, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said on Tuesday, commenting on the possibility of a meeting between the Russian leader and his US counterpart Donald Trump in France.
"We have the invitation [to Paris]. It is being considered," Ushakov told reporters answering a corresponding question.
Talking about the possible Putin-Trump meeting, the aide stressed that he "heard that Trump had accepted the invitation."
Celebrations timed to the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I will be held in Paris on November 11.
