Motorcyclists not wearing a helmet to be fined Rs1000

The LHC has made it compulsory for the motorcyclists to wear a helmet

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 11th September, 2018) The motorcyclists not wearing a helmet will now be fined Rs 1000.

The Lahore High Court (LHC) has ordered indiscriminate action against the motorcyclists riding without wearing a helmet from September 23.

LHC judge Justice Ali Akbar Qureshi heard the petition of a citizen Abdullah Malik, who had adopted that there are a large number of people riding bikes without helmet. This has increased traffic accidents and hence casualties in these accidents.

CTO Lahore also appeared before the court. The court ordered the CTO to make sure traffic rules are strictly observed.

Accepting the CTO’s plea, the LHC has made it compulsory for the motorcyclists to wear a helmet while those not wearing a helmet will be fined Rs 1000.
