Ukraine Security Service Calls Russia's Statement on Kiev's Cooperation With IS Fake

The Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) on Monday called fake the information of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) that the Ukrainian intelligence agency was cooperating with the Islamic State terrorist organization (IS, banned in Russia)

KIEV (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 10th September, 2018) The Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) on Monday called fake the information of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) that the Ukrainian intelligence agency was cooperating with the Islamic State terrorist organization (IS, banned in Russia).

The FSB said earlier in the day that an IS member, who was plotting a murder of "one of the leaders of militia" of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) on an assignment for the SBU and the Ukrainian radical Right Sector group (outlawed in Russia) had been detained in Russia's Smolensk Region.

"This is another fake from the Russian FSB, and it would be ridiculous to comment on it," the SBU spokesperson told the UNN news agency.

On August 31, Alexander Zakharchenko, the DPR leader, was killed in a blast at a cafe in central Donetsk. Eleven other people were injured. The DPR authorities declared the incident a terrorist attack.
