MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 10th September, 2018) A man has been arrested after driving car onto the Lyon airport runway causing traffic delays, local media reported Monday.
The RTL broadcaster reported that no one was injured in the incident.
"Following an incident, traffic @lyonaeroports is interrupted until further notice," the airport tweeted.
The broadcaster reported that the car was moving at a high speed along the A46 highway, causing several incidents, crushing the tollgates and forcing its way to the airport. The vehicle was followed by a dozen of police cars. The police opened fire and intercepted the driver shortly after. The police helicopter was surveying the site.
The driver has not been identified yet.
