PREVIEW - Putin, Abe To Meet In Russia's Vladivostok On Monday

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 10th September, 2018) Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in the eastern Russian city of Vladivostok on Monday.

Putin and Abe are set to discuss the pressing issues of the bilateral and the regional relations, and also attend the Mazda Sollers automotive company, located in Vladivostok.

Putin will arrive in Vladivostok on a working visit, which will last until September 12, in order to attend the fourth edition of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), which will be held from September 11 to September 13. The event is set to promote the political, economic and cultural cooperation between Russia and the Asia Pacific region.

Abe, along with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Mongolian President Khaltmaa Battulga and South Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak-yeon, will be the honorary guest of the EEF. His visit will last until September 13.

On Wednesday, Putin, Abe, Xi, Battulga and Lee will participate in the EEF plenary session "The Russian Far East: Creating a New Reality," and then in the ceremony of awarding the winners of the Far East Tall Ships Regatta 2018.

Later on Wednesday, Putin, Abe and Battulga will attend the Annual International Vladivostok Jigoro Kano Cadet Judo Tournament for juniors under 21.
