The arrests were carried out during police anti-terror operations in Turkey's northern Samsun province, the Anadolu news agency reported, citing security officials who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Turkish security forces have been engaged in anti-terror operations for years. The country suffers from spillovers of terrorist violence from neighboring Syria, where the IS was defeated in 2017 after years of anti-terror offensive, and Iraq, where the authorities' fight against the terrorists is still underway.
