Russian Deputy Defense Minister Col. Gen. Alexander Fomin and Italian Ambassador to Russia Pasquale Terracciano discussed in Moscow the situation in Syria and Libya, as well as European security, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement Thursday.
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 07th September, 2018) Russian Deputy Defense Minister Col. Gen. Alexander Fomin and Italian Ambassador to Russia Pasquale Terracciano discussed in Moscow the situation in Syria and Libya, as well as European security, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement Thursday.
"On September 6, 2018 in Moscow, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Col. Gen. A. V. Fomin received Ambassador of the Italian Republic to the Russian Federation Pasquale Terracciano," the statement said.
It said Fomin and Terracciano discussed urgent issues of regional and international security.
"In particular, the situation in Syria and Libya... The sides exchanged views on the situation in the sphere of European security," the ministry said.
