Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 6th September, 2018) The entire nation along with the armed forces are celebrating the Defence and Martyrs Day of Pakistan today with a renewed pledge to continue safeguarding the geographical, ideological boundaries and territorial integrity of the motherland against all threats.
Actor Faysal Qureshi has also weighed in on the importance of this day.
Sharing a picture sitting among young cadets, Faysal Quraishi said that it seems we have forgotten this historic day with time.
“Lets salute all our *Defence Forces* for their impeccable service to this Nation with undeterred resolve - especially those who lost their precious lives (martyred) throughout the years since independence.
Both the Shahadas and the Ghazis are us; from our own blood; and they all make our homeland liveable for all of us. Lets have a resolve to standby our forces, as only together we can make Pakistan stronger, better and more prosperous. Insha'Allah,” the veteran actor wrote.
The day dawned with special prayers in the mosques for the well-being and prosperity of the country.
Several ceremonies are being held today to pay homage to the Pakistan Army soldiers and officials and other law enforcement agencies personnel, who laid their lives in the battlefield.
