Kremlin Aide Says Timing of Next Trump-Putin Meeting Unclear

It is still unclear when the next meeting of the Russian and US presidents will take place and there are currently no preparations for this meeting, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said on Wednesday.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 05th September, 2018) It is still unclear when the next meeting of the Russian and US presidents will take place and there are currently no preparations for this meeting, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said on Wednesday.

"It is unclear, because such a meeting is not being worked out yet through our channels. Although we have information on those international events that will take place at the end of this year or next year. And I cannot rule out that the two leaders will take advantage of a joint stay in one place or another for a separate meeting. But this is only in terms of theoretical reasoning. There is no practical work on this track," Ushakov told reporters.

The dialogue between Moscow and Washington was relaunched following the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Donald Trump in the Finnish capital of Helsinki on July 16. The two presidents discussed a wide range of issues related to bilateral relations and undertook several initiatives, which are now expected to be elaborated at a lower level by the competent bodies.
