Russian President Vladimir Putin will outline the plans for the development of Russia's Far East and touch upon security in the Asia Pacific region at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said Wednesday.
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 05th September, 2018) Russian President Vladimir Putin will outline the plans for the development of Russia's Far East and touch upon security in the Asia Pacific region at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said Wednesday.
"Our president's statement is meant to touch upon large-scale plans to speed up the socio-economic development of the Far East. Yet again, the president will invite foreign investors to work with Russian business in Far East projects more actively. There will be remarks about strengthening security and stability in Asia Pacific region," Ushakov told a briefing.
According to the Kremlin aide, Putin will stress the idea of the importance of maintaining principles of free trade based on the World Trade Organization (WTO) norms and emphasize that it is unacceptable to use any restrictions or sanctions, especially "politically-motivated sanctions."
The EEF will be held in Vladivostok on September 11-13.
