Putin to Meet Rouhani, Khamenei, Erdogan at Trilateral Summit Friday - Kremlin Aide

Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold separate meetings with Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, as well as Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on the sidelines of the Iran-Russia-Turkey summit on September 7, Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov said Wednesday.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 05th September, 2018) Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold separate meetings with Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, as well as Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on the sidelines of the Iran-Russia-Turkey summit on September 7, Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov said Wednesday.

"We are planning three bilateral meetings for our president. They are: with Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, as well as separate talks with President Hassan Rouhani, and a separate contact with Turkish president Erdogan," Ushakov told a briefing.

The Kremlin aide added the talks with Iranian leaders would concern bilateral cooperation and Syria, among other topics.

"As for the Iranian side, there is Syria, various aspects of the bilateral cooperation, and the situation around the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, considering the US withdrawal from this deal. As for Turkey, we have very intensive contacts at the highest level ... Just like with Iran, there are various aspects of bilateral cooperation and, naturally, the in-depth discussion of the situation in Syria," Ushakov said.
