The Russian side of the Russian-Turkish commission on the Syrian ceasefire has recorded 24 ceasefire violations over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 05th September, 2018) The Russian side of the Russian-Turkish commission on the Syrian ceasefire has recorded 24 ceasefire violations over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.
"The number of ceasefire breaches remains high in the Idlib de-escalation zone. Over the last 24 hours, the Russian party of the Russia-Turkey Commission on violations of the Joint Agreement has registered 24 cases of firing in the provinces of Aleppo (10), Hama (1) and Latakia (13)," the ministry said in its daily bulletin.
The Russian Center for Syrian reconciliation has not carried out any humanitarian actions over the past 24 hours, the ministry added.
"Total number of humanitarian actions is 1,918, with a total weight of cargo delivered - 2,960.91 tonnes. Over the last 24 hours, medical aid has been provided to 155 citizens. In total, 91,645 people have received medical aid," the bulletin said.
The number of armed formations claiming that they observe the ceasefire regime has not changed, standing at 234.
Russia, Turkey and Iran are the guarantors of the ceasefire regime in Syria, where the government forces have been fighting numerous opposition groups, as well as militant and terrorist organizations since 2011. Moscow has also been assisting Damascus through supporting the struggle against the terrorist groups, and providing humanitarian aid to civilians.
