MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 05th September, 2018) Pakistan's new foreign minister, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, will discuss Washington's decision to cancel the $300 million in aid to Islamabad with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo during the latter's visit to Pakistan on Wednesday.
Pompeo's visit to Islamabad is expected to last for one day and involve talks with the country's prime minister, Imran Khan. The US diplomat will then go to New Delhi, according to sources.
Washington explained the decision to cut the aid to Pakistan by the lack of results in Islamabad's fight against terrorist networks.
