COAS Bajwa calls on PM Imran, discusses security situation

The two leaders expressed resolve to bring enduring peace and stability in the country

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 3rd September, 2018) Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa called on Prime Minister Imran Khan at the PM Office on Monday.

Prime Minister Khan and COAS Bajwa discussed security matters in their meeting. The two leaders expressed resolve to bring enduring peace and stability in the country while also continuing efforts for regional peace.

Earlier on August 27, COAS Bajwa called on Prime Minister Imran Khan Monday at the PM Office.

According to a statement released by the PM Office, the Army Chief congratulated the Prime Minister on assuming office.

"Both discussed security situation and expressed resolve to bring enduring peace and stability in the country while also continuing efforts for regional peace," the statement said.

Later on August 30, Prime Minister Imran Khan visited the General Headquarters and assured that the government would provide all resources to require and maintain the capability and capacity of the Army.
