Berlin calls on both Kiev and the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) to continue to work constructively within the framework of the contact group and the Normandy format following the assassination of DPR leader Alexander Zakharchenko, German cabinet spokesman Steffen Seibert said on Monday.
BERLIN (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 03rd September, 2018) Berlin calls on both Kiev and the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) to continue to work constructively within the framework of the contact group and the Normandy format following the assassination of DPR leader Alexander Zakharchenko, German cabinet spokesman Steffen Seibert said on Monday.
"The government of the Federal Republic of Germany closely follows the situation in Donbas after the assassination of Mr. Zakharchenko. We condemn in principle the use of violence. We call on all parties to continue to participate constructively in the negotiations of the trilateral contact group, as well as in the Normandy format," Seibert told a briefing.
