Islamabad, (Pakistan Point News - 03rd September, 2018) According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 60% Pakistanis believe that news channels are free from the influence of the government in the country. A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “Please tell to what extend do you agree or disagree with the following statement: News channels in Pakistan are not influenced by the government?” In response to this, 60% said that they agreed while 33% disagreed with the statement. 7% did not know or did not wish to respond.
