DAMASCUS (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 02nd September, 2018) The suburb of Damascus was subjected to missile attack, a source in Syrian intelligence services told Sputnik on Sunday.
According to the source, Mezzeh military airfield near Damascus was not affected by the strike, but there were explosions at an ammunition depot near it as a result of the attack.
The source specified that Syrian air defense systems had repelled the airstrikes.
The Times of Israel newspaper reported, citing sources, that the strikes had been conducted by Israeli aircraft.
