BOCHAROV RUCHEY (Russia) (Pakistan Point news / Sputnik - 01st September, 2018) Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed on Saturday that Russian President Vladimir Putin intended to attend the East Asia Summit in Singapore in November.
"Yes, it's being planned," Peskov told journalists asked whether Putin would participate in the upcoming event.
The East Asian Summit is set to be held on November 14-15. The summit was initiated in 2005 as a forum for establishing a dialogue among the leaders of Pacific Rim countries on a wide range of strategic, political and economic issues of common interest. The summits are held annually after the meetings of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations' leaders.
