WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 01st September, 2018) Kuwait's Emir will meet with President Donald Trump in Washington on Wednesday to discuss trade and security, the White House said in a press release.
"Trump will welcome His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait to the White House for a working visit on September 5, 2018," the release said on Friday.
Trump and the Emir will discuss trade, investment, and security cooperation, the release added.
Earlier on Friday, the Pentagon announced that Defense Secretary James Mattis met this week with representatives of the six Gulf Cooperation Council states and other Arab countries to seek a unified approach to common strategic threats.
