WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 01st September, 2018) US travelers are advised against visiting North Korea due to high security risk, the State Department announced in a new travel advisory.
"Do not travel to North Korea due to the serious risk of arrest and long-term detention of US nationals," the release said on Friday.
US travelers must obtain special validation from the State Department before visiting North Korea, the release added.
The advisory issued on Friday replaces the previous one of the same level, issued on January 10, 2018, according to the press release.
