Georgia to Receive $52 Mln in EU Macro-Financial Assistance - EU Commission

The European Union will provide 45 million euros ($52 million) in macro-financial assistance to Georgia, the European Commission said Friday in a press release.

BRUSSELS (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 31st August, 2018) The European Union will provide 45 million Euros ($52 million) in macro-financial assistance to Georgia, the European Commission said Friday in a press release.

"The European Commission has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Georgia for Macro-Financial Assistance (MFA) of up to 45 million euros to help Georgia cover part of its external financing needs and support economic reforms," the press release reads.

Up to 10 million euros will be given as grants, and the rest as medium-term loans.
